Simply heat the wax to 180°F (82°C), add dye and up to 0.5 oz of any fragrance or essential oil to make your own candle. This candle wax comes from RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil)- certified palm oil. It produces beautiful feathering patterns when it solidifies. This all-natural wax provides clean burning and an excellent scent throw.
Palm wax allows you to create candles with unique textures since, in most cases, it produces a beautiful crystallizing or feather-like pattern on the candle’s surface. Palm candles are burning well and can be easily unmolded. The palm wax is fully compatible with all candle dyes, however many people like the natural effect of the uncolored wax. You can add scents and fragrances according to your preferences (recommended fragrance usage for palm wax is about 3% by weight (approximately ½ oz per pound)).
We recommend heating the palm wax to approximately 194°F-205°F (90°C-95°C). The higher the palm wax temperature for pouring, the better and clearer the pattern. But the most important is to not let your wax boil, as it will affect the finishing result and may deform the candle mold too. Please take into account the highest temperature allowed not just for your wax, but for other ingredients as well, like dyes and scents. You should figure out the optimal temperature for all the ingredients so that none of them is affected. Before pouring the palm wax, you can use a heat gun to preheat your mold.
This helps the crystals form more effectively. The cooling process and solidification are advisable to be as slow as possible. Before removing the candle from the mold, wait for at least 24 hours, but 48 hours works best. Make sure the surrounding temperature is stable between 68°F-86°F (20°C-30°C) while your palm wax candle solidifies.
